About Abdulrasheed Usman

Mr Abdulrasheed Usman holds an M.Sc . in Pharmacology from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria. He is a researcher with a multidisciplinary background in human physiology, pharmacology, bioinformatics, and infectious disease. His research interests include transcriptomics, metagenomics, molecular biology techniques, and the analysis of viral and bacterial infections, particularly HIV, HBV, Chlamydia trachomatis, and malaria-related datasets.

Also, he possesses strong expertise in spatial and statistical modeling, data science, and workflow automation using R, Python, Linux, and bioinformatics tools. His work integrates laboratory and computational approaches, including RNA sequencing, geospatial data science, and microbiome profiling, to better understand host–pathogen and host–microbe interactions, as well as insecticides resistance phenomena in malaria mosquitoes.

Abdulrasheed has contributed to studies involving cytokine and TLR expression signatures, microbial community analysis, and disease modeling. His academic interests also extend to machine learning applications in biosciences, and reinforcement learning for real-time applications. He is passionate about scientific communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leveraging computational methods to address public health and biomedical challenges, particularly within Africa.
