Ethics & Research Governance
The CTIDR strives to uphold the highest ethical standard in research. We work closely with the relevant regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with ethics and ethos of scientific research. We apply and obtain ethical clearances prior to our research, including from the relevant ministries of health in Nigerian states, ministries of livestock development, and up to National Health Research Ethics Committee of Nigeria.
We are committed to conducting all human-related research in accordance with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, ensuring respect for participants, informed consent, and the highest standards of scientific and ethical integrity. Also, we are committed to Nagoya Protocol on access and benefit-sharing for the responsible use of biological and genetic resources.
