Hassana A. Abdulrahman

Ms Hassana A. Abdulrahman (M.Sc.) works in our molecular biology laboratory. She holds B.Sc. in Biochemistry and M.Sc. in Biotechnology, both from Bayero University Kano. She is passionate about science and is very organised and meticulous scientist who always find ways to deliver on assigned tasks, successfully. Since her appointment in 2024, Ms Abdulrahman has become an expert in thermal biology, especially static temperature assays of immature and adult mosquitoes, which is the basis of her research interest and the foundation of her M.Sc project.

Also, she has become very comfortable in molecular genotyping and is pushing the frontier of data analysis using the Python.

In addition to her centre assigned research tasks she also helps Masters and PhD students, as well as other research collaborations visitors in lab activities and data analysis.
