Data Protection, Management & Sharing
At CTIDR, we take data protection seriously. We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal data of our staff and partners, and research data collected in the course of our scientific activities. We manage data in accordance with internationally recognised standards and legal frameworks, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act, NDPA (2023) and principles reflected in the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the secure collection, storage, processing, and sharing of data, while promoting responsible open science practices in line with the FAIR data principles for research data management and stewardship (Wilkinson et al., 2016).
